Refund policy
Last updated 6 September 2026
Refunds are decided and issued by the organizer of the event, not by tiqet. tiqet provides the tooling that carries a refund out and returns the money through the same payment route it arrived by.
1. Who to contact
Contact the organizer named on the event page and in your ticket email. They set the refund terms for their event and are the party you bought from.
tiqet can help with a payment that failed, a ticket email that did not arrive, or a refund an organizer has already approved but that has not reached you. Write to support@tiqet.app.
2. Cancelled, postponed, or materially changed events
If an event is cancelled, the organizer is expected to refund the full ticket price. If an event is postponed or materially changed — a different date, venue, or headline act — your ticket normally stays valid for the new date, and you may ask the organizer for a refund instead.
Statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Note that under EU consumer law the fourteen-day right of withdrawal generally does not apply to tickets for a leisure event held on a specific date; the organizer's own policy governs voluntary refunds.
3. How a refund is paid
A refund is returned to the original payment method through Stripe. It is normally visible within [expected refund settlement window], depending on your bank. Partial refunds are not currently supported: a refunded order is refunded in full and its tickets stop working immediately.
When an order is refunded, tiqet's service fee is returned as well, so a refunded ticket costs the organizer nothing in platform fees. Stripe's own processing fees are governed by Stripe's terms.
4. For organizers
Refund a paid order from its order page in the dashboard. The refund is created at Stripe and reverses the transfer from your connected account; the order moves to Refunded only once Stripe confirms it by webhook, which keeps your records and Stripe's in agreement.
Refunding returns the tickets' capacity and releases any limited discount code the order had used. Publish your own refund terms in the event description so attendees know where they stand before they buy.
5. Chargebacks
Ask the organizer for a refund before opening a dispute with your bank. A chargeback costs the organizer a fee on top of the refunded amount and is resolved by Stripe and the card scheme rather than by tiqet.
